Summer Housing

The New School's summer housing is open to current students who are taking summer classes or want to spend the summer in NYC, students from other colleges who are completing internships in the city, and groups and special summer programs.

Current New School Students

If you are enrolled in a New School degree program, you have the option to live in university housing for the summer months. Summer housing is perfect for those who plan to take classes, have an internship, or just want to stay in New York City. If you are a currently enrolled New School student, you can visit the Housing Portal for more information. 

Parsons Summer Intensive Studies Programs

The application for summer 2026 housing is available through Continuing and Professional Education. Once you have registered for the program and paid the tuition, an email will be sent to your newschool.edu email address with instructions for applying for housing approximately two weeks after registration. 

The Housing Application is available through the Housing Portal. The Housing Application will close on May 8, 2026; no applications will be accepted for the Parsons Summer Intensive Studies College/Adult and Pre-College programs after that date. You can visit the Housing Portal for more information regarding summer housing costs. 

All students are assigned to shared suites and rooms; no single rooms are available. Students 18 years of age or younger at move-in, or at any point during the program) are required to abide by our curfew rules and will be housed within walking distance of their classes.

Summer Internship Housing

New School housing offers a safe and convenient home base in New York City for all summer interns and for college students affiliated with other colleges and universities.

Conference & Group Housing

The New School may be able to house your conference event, special event, or group this summer. Due to social distancing and current health guidance, please email us at universityhousing@newschool.edu to inquire about availability, pricing, and options.
