• HEOP

  • The New School Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) is a partnership between the New York State Education Department and The New School. This program is designed for students with the potential and drive to further their education but, due to limited academic and financial resources, would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend college. The goal of HEOP is to retain and graduate talented students who will succeed at the college level and beyond.

To ensure equity for all, The New School’s Higher Education Opportunity Program offers academic support and financial scholarships for students with diverse needs who meet program requirements. Students must be applying for undergraduate study and residents of New York State.

    Program Components

The HEOP includes a summer program for academic and social orientation, personalized academic support services, advising assistance, and supplemental financial aid packages tailored to each student’s unique needs.

  • Eligibility Requirements

HEOP eligibility requires high school graduation or equivalent, demonstration of academic potential, and financial qualifications based on income and household size.
