Mannes College The New School for Music kicks off the 2011-2012 academic year with a performance by the Mannes Orchestra under the direction of David Hayes, Director of Orchestral and Conducting Studies. The program, which features guest soloist Patricia Spencer, flute, will include the New York premiere of Elliott Carter's Concerto for Flute (2008). The orchestra will also perform Haydn's Symphony No. 96 in D major "The Miracle" and Schubert's Symphony No. 9 in C major. |
