Sculptor Natalia Zubko, a California-native who has lived and worked in Brooklyn, NY since 2003, illuminates and transforms spaces striping away external noise and inviting people to experience a sense of wonder and quiet. Using concepts of light and space, Zubko explores how intimacy can be experienced in vast spaces and vastness experienced in intimate spaces. She regularly exhibits large site-responsive environments & sculptures as well as smaller 2D + 3D works throughout the US. She just completed a perminant multi-media public sculpture, River Constellation, for Water Works Park, Des Moines, IA. She co-curates the Art Lot, an outdoor public space near Red Hook, Brooklyn, and is an adjunct assistant professor at Parsons School of Design and City College of New York, CUNY.
Outside of her own creative endeavors, Natalia co-curates the Art Lot, an outdoor public space near Red Hook, Brooklyn and is an adjunct assistant faculty at Parsons School of Design and City College of New York, CUNY. She has BA's in Anthropology and Art History from Brandeis University as well as a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate (Brandeis) and MFA (Parsons) in Fine Arts, Sculpture.
