Frameworks for Decision-Making

Milano's academic programs provide students with a theoretical and practical understanding of management and policy analysis, as well as frameworks for decision-making.

Across specializations in urban policy, nonprofit management, organizational change, human resources, and healthcare management, the curriculum is distinctly action-oriented.

Theories are tested in forums such as our Laboratory in Issue Analysis, Capstone Courses, internships, and other client-centered work. Competencies are honed in the real world, solving current problems.

Responding to an Evolving Context

At Milano, our programs are fluid and flexible. We continually respond to an evolving context—one defined by diverse student enrollment, a need for combinations of skill sets, and a global environment in which traditional distinctions have blurred or disappeared.

Through teaching, research, and sponsorship of public inquiry and debate, Milano stays relevant to ever-changing organizational and public policy issues.

Grounded in Ethical Decision-Making and Social Responsibility

True to Milano's progressive agenda, programs are grounded in ethical decision-making and social responsibility. Milano supports professions that build civic institutions and contribute to democratic society.

Milano prepares graduates to have a meaningful and positive impact on our world—which requires transformation at more than just an academic level. Our dynamic graduates emerge from our programs with a greater understanding of how the world operates at political, economic, and sociological levels, as well as how to assess, effect, and manage change and its consequences in a variety of contexts.

Graduates Become Leaders

Through Milano’s blend of theory, practice, and commitment to community, graduates become leaders who are actively sought for their effectiveness as change agents.
