The Mannes Orchestra
David Hayes, Director of Orchestral and Conducting Studies

The Mannes Orchestra performs six concerts each season. Performance venues include Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Verizon Hall in Philadelphia, and Symphony Space.

In addition, the Orchestra produces a fully staged production with The Mannes Opera each spring at The Silvia and Danny Kaye Playhouse.

Unless otherwise noted, all performances by The Mannes Orchestra are free and open to the public. Certain concerts require tickets. Consult the calendar for details.

The Mannes Opera
Joseph Colaneri, Director

The Mannes Opera presents two productions each year. The first, held in January at Mannes, consists of two nights of opera scenes. The second, held each spring at The Silvia and Danny Kaye Playhouse, is presented in collaboration with The Mannes Orchestra.

In addition, The Mannes Opera presents two evenings of "Conversations on Opera" featuring students and Maestro Colaneri in a captivating discussion-scene study setting.

The Mannes Baroque Chamber Players presents two concerts each year featuring student ensembles performing music from the Baroque era on modern instruments with period bows.

The Mannes Percussion Ensemble

The Mannes Percussion ensemble presents two concerts a year. One concert is apart of the Mannes Contemporary Music Festival.

New Music Mannes

Orion String Quartet presents four concerts per year. All concerts are free and open to the public.

To be admitted to Quartet concerts, pick up a free ticket at the Mannes security desk at 6:00 p.m. on the day of the performance. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for an 8:00 p.m. performance time. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.

The Newman & Oltman Guitar Duo presents one concert and several master classes during the year. Admission is free and tickets are not required.
