On Wednesday, October 28, New School Jazz kicks of its annual Improvisation Ensemble showcases. Over the course of six days, New School Jazz students perform in 34 concerts showcasing the development of their Improvisation Ensembles.
 
Led by New School Jazz faculty members including Andrew Cyrille, Reggie Workman,Vic Juris, Cecil Bridgewater, Joanne Brackeen, and Rachel Z, these showcases are free and open to the public and take place at the Jazz Performance Space, 55 West 13th Street, 5th floor.
