    Getting Around New York

    Subway

Most students use the subway to get to and from campus and to travel across the city. Our campus is accessible by a number of subway lines:

    • The 4, 5, 6, N, R, Q, and L trains to 14th Street and Union Square. Walk south to 13th Street, then turn west (right) to 72 Fifth Avenue. Our Welcome Center is located on the corner of 13th Street and Fifth Avenue.
    • The A, C, and E trains to 14th Street. Walk east along 14th Street to Fifth Avenue (make a right turn). Walk south one block to 72 Fifth Avenue.
    • The 1, 2, 3, F, and M trains to 14th Street. Walk east along 14th Street to Fifth Avenue (make a right turn). Walk south one block to 72 Fifth Avenue.

You can map your route to and from The New School using Google Maps. MetroCards (fare cards used on NYC subways and buses) are available for purchase inside most subway stations. For information about subway and bus accessibility, visit MTA Accessibility.

    Bike Share

Many students opt to bike through the city. If you’re visiting from out of town and want to ride around the city, you can use the popular bike-share program Citi Bike, available around campus and across the city.

    Ride Share

You can also get around the city using yellow cabs or popular ride-sharing apps like Lyft or Uber

    Our Paris Campus

Studying in Paris means living in one of the most energetic and culturally rich cities in the world, with an art and design community that’s been in residence for decades. The Parsons Paris campus is located in a newly renovated historic building at 45 rue Saint-Roch, a short walk from the Louvre, the Palais Garnier, the Gaîté Lyrique media arts center, and Notre-Dame cathedral. Classes are held on campus and throughout the city, bringing students into contact with Paris' signature creative agencies, exhibitions, and industry-related events.
