On this page, you'll find a checklist of required application materials, as well as specific instructions for each program. All required materials should be submitted before the posted deadlines.
Once your application and admission materials have been submitted, they may not be revised, updated, or altered in any way. Please do not submit your application without first making sure you've uploaded all the necessary materials and optional materials.
Each of our graduate programs has unique requirements
for the application process, such as interviews, portfolio submissions, or essays. Our Office of Admission has created helpful videos to help you prepare the various elements of your application file.
Application Deadlines
Fall and Summer Priority Application Deadline: January 5
When starting their application in the Application Center, applicants to the MFA Photography and MS Strategic Design for Global Leadership should select the Graduate 2024–2025 application. Applicants to all other programs should select the Graduate 2025 application.
To be most competitive for admission and merit scholarship consideration, please submit your completed admission application with all required materials, including your portfolio if one is required, by the priority deadline. We will continue reviewing applications submitted after the priority deadline only if space is still available in the program for additional applicants. The Admission Committee will make a final admission decision on your application only after all of the required materials have been received.
The MFA Photography and MS Strategic Design and Executive Global Leadership programs begin in the summer.
All admitted students are automatically considered for merit scholarships. No separate application is required.
FAFSA (U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens)
Fall applicants: as soon as possible
